Could this be you?The Position;As our new Director of Client Services, your main goal will be to ensure that our processes and people work efficiently together. We are experiencing significant growth and we want to ensure our commitment to accuracy and deadlines are not compromised.You’ll be responsible for a team of 10 (and growing) direct reports. You’ll manage employees in accordance with company objectives and procedures. You’ll provide the support they need to maximize their potential and be fully engaged in our business. You’re also responsible to answer questions about claims, administration or remittances to plan sponsors and members. Using your knowledge of benefits, you’ll be a resource for senior clients new and old, ensuring that applications, documents, files, and employee benefit kits are accurate. Monitoring claims and processing proposals will also fall into the scope of your work.Your ability to see both the big picture and minute details will allow you to efficiently manage production, quality assurance, work flow, reporting, and expenditures.Your job is to make the internal workflow of the team so smooth and efficient that it’s almost invisible.Here is some of what you’ll do:* Team Management – You’ll supervise and support a team of 10 + third party administrators and/or servicing/support staff. You’ll answer staff questions, provide training, and assist with escalations when needed. No task is too big or too small for our management staff, so backing up your team may be required of you as well. You’ll oversee constant development planning and growth of your team. We are anticipating adding more members to the team as we continue to grow.* Organizational Management – You’ll maintain a high level of awareness of, and participate in, the development of company structure and workflow to enhance your team’s performance. You’ll formulate, communicate and standardize high-quality work standards.* Problem solving & Decision making – when confronted with unfamiliar situations, you seek out and consider appropriate data, ideas and experience to make decisions and solve problems; you offer solutions and are prepared for discussion. For you, complex problems are a challenge, not an obstacle.* Finance/Administration – You’ll chair weekly work-in-progress meetings and adjust priorities where necessary. You’ll serve as a finance SME for pulling reports, relaying financial information and identifying future resolutions to the Executive Team as needed. Working with Sterling;This is a full-time permanent position with a 40-44 hour work week, Monday to Friday. This position comes with a robust compensation package, which includes salary between $100,000 and $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience), an annual bonus based on performance, 3 weeks’ vacation and a benefits package that includes health and dental. There will also be some travel required within this role. Our office is a small one, which means you’ll be able to draw on the experience and expertise of everyone.
