Business Analyst – Linx Underwriting Solutions


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 29, 2021.

Aon is looking for a Business Analyst – Linx Underwriting Solutions As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our team within Linx Underwriting Solutions. Based in Toronto, ON. You will work with the Business and Operations Manager to identify opportunities for process optimization, management/portfolio reporting, data analysis and various AR/AP projects with effective interaction and working with various business units across commercial risks. Linx is made up of property, casualty risks across Canada. Responsibilities Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities Energetic, driven and committed to project success while working under tight time constraints and pressure Perform statistical data and operational analysis utilizing Excel and other reporting tools such monthly reporting to management, ad-hoc reporting, binder management, portfolio analysis, GWP, renewal forecast, budget and revenue Working closely with product owners to understand business requirements Support and coordinate in standardizing the processes within each team; including documentation, training and communication Coordinate with external Third Parties as required Monthly reconciliation process as defined and implemented for all Linx Programs; Financial reconciliation AR/AP Ensuring all payment bordereaux are sent to paid on time by the 15th of the month Works effectively with colleagues and third-party vendors maintaining good working relationship to deliver business requirements Act as liaison between the business and our Information Technology (IT) team Provides support with projects to manager and colleagues Experience 5 years’ related experience High level of customer focus and proven ability to build “trusted advisor” style relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across the business Advanced skills with MS Office, with particular emphasis on Excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables, Dashboarding etc); familiarity with MS Project and Visio an asset Strong presentation skills; experience in meetings and workshops Ability to work well under pressure within deadlines Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office and Visio Knowledge of project management: practices procedures principles methodologies and tools Education: Experience of having worked at MGA, insurer or broker preferable Post-secondary diploma or degree is preferred but not required Additional education in the areas of Business Analysis and/or project management a definite asset RIBO or other industry-recognized license or designation is an asset We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
