To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description What You’ll Be Doing This expert planning role works closely within the Wealth Planning Group to elevate the quality and operational excellence of the financial planning practice.

The Specialist, Centralized Financial Planning is an experienced CFP accredited planner that collaborates with Wealth Strategists and Financial Planning Specialists by proving financial planning services.

The incumbent will also have a national scope and play an important role in key projects related to the advice enablement of the Wealth Planning Group.

How You’ll Succeed Prepare Financial Plans
– Provide highly specialized advice and consultation with respect to a broad range of complex financial planning aspects to add value to the financial planning process.

Offer expertise in strategies and solutions for clients
– retirement planning; goal planning; life & wealth protection; milestones & purchases planning; succession planning, and tax planning.

Maintain Industry Expertise
– Keep up-to-date with the overall economic and financial environment, current events, market conditions, trends, and changes to legislation and product platforms in an area that is subject to frequent change.

Provide expertise in dealing with high value clients, each with specific needs and circumstances requiring a unique financial analysis and plan to meet their short term and long term financial requirements.

Communication Skills
– Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills and technical proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Power Point, Excel).

Ability to convey complex financial planning insights into clear, memorable, and compelling client recommendations Client Engagement
– Focus on each client’s experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful.

Enhance relationships by delivering trusted advice and providing comprehensive financial planning support.

Cultivate your network to establish new client relationships.

– Questions the status quo and makes suggestions about how things can be done more effectively.

Takes responsibility for continuously developing own knowledge, skills and capabilities.

Takes advantage of opportunities when they arise.

Relationship Management
– This job interacts on a regular basis with key frontline roles including Financial Planning Specialists, Wealth Strategists, and Investment Advisors.

In addition, this role will work closely with national office roles in marketing, PWM Practice Management, PWM Strategic Advisory Programs, and Wealth Planning Group leadership.

Who You Are You’re a certified professional.

Successful completion of the Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP).

You can demonstrate experience in.

You have minimum of 5 years of experience in the Financial Planning industry (Creating financial plans for higher net worth clients is an asset).

Your frontline experience is considered an asset.

You have knowledge in.

Financial Planning concepts.

You are a systematic thinker with a strong process and analytical capability.

You have Advanced technical capabilities in using Financial Planning software (Voyant/CIBC Goal Planner is preferred).

Advanced technical capabilities in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Adobe.

You can demonstrated planning and organizational skills sufficient to take small or medium-sized work packages from concept to completion.

You have knowledge of CIBC’s and CIBC Private Wealth operating policies, standards, practices, and processes impacting the Wealth Planning Group would be an asset.
