Intermediate Process Analyst (6-month Contract)

B2B Bank

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 6, 2018.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Solutions, the incumbent will contribute to the optimization of business processes and improvement of quality in the Operations and Business Solutions sectors. Primarily responsible for defining, implementing and deploying new business processes to support the strategic and business plan of B2B Bank.Participates in various large-scale projects and mandates that may have a significant impact on profitability and efficiency. Develops a schedule and determines efforts required to carry out activities and work in collaboration with the Project Manager to integrate with the overall project planning. Ensures new processes are defined and client-centric while meeting compliance standards. Responsible to define and analyze the scope, objectives, stakeholder needs, change management activities and impacts to established or new business processes Evaluate the financial impacts of optimization projects and working closely to achieve the financial analysis of projects. Partners with Technology group to analyze project impacts on the application environment of B2B Bank and the integration into the different platforms used. Identify opportunities that will increase productivity, improve client service levels, reduce operational costs, errors and processing time, mitigate risks and eliminate non-value adding activities. Keep abreast of applicable legislation, financial products and services, as well as B2B Bank and B2B Bank Dealer Services policies, programs, and procedures. Standardizes measurements and methodologies of existing business processes to realize quantifiable efficiencies. Takes a holistic approach when analyzing and designing new processes to ensure the solution benefits the company as a whole. Act as a representative from Process Management or Business Solutions on all project committees as required. Applies best practices to create and update procedure documents, flowcharts, and internal communications that conform to the Process Management standard. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to reach organizational goals. Prioritizes work, provides timely status updates, and escalates when required to ensure timelines are met. Creates and uses tools to enhance their productivity and efficiently follow-up on projects. Provide guidance on processes and procedures to other departments in response to inquiries. Carries out any other similar or general tasks as required.University Degree in a related field, with 2 to 4 years of related experience in process engineering or process improvement. or College Diploma and 5 to 8 years of related experience in process engineering or process improvement. Experience working within the financial services industry. Experience within the financial services industry in a process improvement capacity is required for the role. Demonstrated aptitude for identifying creative opportunities for improvements and recommending sound solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent writing, editing and content organization skills. Sound knowledge of standard documentation tools such as MS Windows, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, MS Visio and screen capture software. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and/or other Business Process Management methodologies. Formal training preferred. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and demonstrated ability in core competencies, including: detail oriented, solid problem solving, analytical, organized, accountable, and able to perform under pressure while balancing multiple deliverables in order to meet all deadlines. Ability to lead others, work well both independently and within a team.
