Job Description

Compensation: mid to high forties commensurate with experience.

North Toronto (north of 401). PeopleFind Inc is searching for an Insolvency Administrator or Consumer Proposal Administrator for one of our clients in the insolvency business. This position is suitable for someone with several years of direct insolvency / consumer proposal experience and interested in personal development in this field.

You will have worked with “consumer proposals” in an insolvency trustee firm or worked with credit specialists dealing with consumer proposals in a major bank or lending institution.

For the purpose of clarification, a “consumer proposal” is a formal agreement between an individual

The “consumer proposal” is a legally binding agreement – prepared within the guidelines of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, where the debtor agrees to pay a portion of the total amount owing, and the creditors agree to forgive the balance.

Consumer Proposals are prepared by Licensed Insolvency Trustees (individuals) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee Firms. Generally this includes firms specialized in this field and as well as public accounting firms licensed to execute this type of work. Some of the terms used in the industry include debt consolidation, debt management, wage garnishment, and credit counseling and an entry level position which may pay in the mid thirties can develop into a career focused on interesting work and excellent income.
