Associate, Global Investment Banking

To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description JOB PURPOSE To research, analyse and interpret information required as part of the origination and execution of transactions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Work as part of the Energy, Infrastructure & Transition team on the origination and execution of transactions.

Undertake industry group research and analysis using a variety of data sources.

Undertake company specific analysis and valuations, including, financial modelling.

Preparation of marketing information including preparation of pitch books, formal client presentations and transaction documentation Analyse capital structures and means of financing.

Liaise with Investment and Corporate Banking partners across London, Luxembourg and Globally Provide coverage of external client groups across Mainland Europe.

To perform routine analysis of information, developing conclusions and responses.

To document and save the analysis in the appropriate files to maintain data bases, comps and precedent transactions as appropriate Manage and train Analysts KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong team player.

Advanced Excel modelling skills, Word and PowerPoint.

Ability to work independently on multiple projects with adherence to deadlines.

Analytical approach with ability to formulate responses to issues.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND Degree educated with three to four years directly relevant experience within Investment Banking and/or relevant industry.

WORKING CONDITIONS This role operates within a normal office environment with little exposure to adverse working conditions.
