– Print role is to oversee and be responsible for the creative development and execution of major campaigns, local marketing initiatives, various programs and communications, product launches and other initiatives providing quality control and ensuring executional accuracy and excellence with creative rigor. This involves providing backup to the Director of Creative Studio in the development of high level concepts, and understanding client needs to ensure creative components achieve a consistent marketing and brand identity that not only meets the business goal objectives but advances the brand strategy of the Brand Management and Marketing Services team. The incumbent is responsible for managing a team of designers – monitoring workflows, schedules for print initiatives, ensuring brand consistency and positive brand image for all agreed upon initiatives and tactics – on time and on budget.  Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee the development and execution of integrated customer and internal communications for all ofCanadian Banking (Retail, Small Business, Global Wealth Management, Strategic Partnerships &Sponsorships, Community Marketing, etc.), Insurance, Global Business Banking, English CaribbeanRegion (LATAM), Central America, and various channels.  This includes:• National campaigns and marketing collateral – POS, Brochures, Take-ones• Traditional print advertising channels (magazine, newspaper, Direct Marketing, OOH)• Print & Signage requirements for event/branch activations• Brand identity development – logos, templates, guidelines• Sales support materials – factsheets, Product guides, etc.• Working collaboratively with Director, Creative Studio and Studio Coordinator to contribute and oversee with all aspects of the creative execution and development, including:• Accepting and triaging of client creative briefs to confirm they meet all requirements• Perform checks of all team members’ projects to ensure complete coordination and manifestation of department design standards• Scheduling and assigning of projects specific to team• Assist with the workflow and timeframes for multimedia projects in the studio• Manage the development and competency of direct reports by providing leadership and advice by coaching, mentoring and guiding as required• Support the accurate tracking of metrics to help facilitate studio reporting and dashboards.• Maintain and facilitate the distribution and asset management for all Brand Intellectual property. Skills:Leading a high performing team of graphic designers and managing the day-to-day operations of the Creative Print team for Scotiabank. This requires:Project Intake and Management of all client briefs and requirements – triaging and providing creative direction based on need and assigning to appropriate staff – managing schedules and deadlines.• Requires understanding of all Scotiabank Groups branding and marketing channels.• Expertise in all forms of traditional marketing channels and proficient in required specifications.• List regions/countries accountable for: All Educational:• • 5+ years in Senior Graphic Design Position in agency, publishing or marketing department• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite – expert level in Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as well as proficiency in Multimedia and basic office and organizational software.• 3+ years in similar supervisory role leading diverse teams of 3 or more, overseeing the daily studio operations and building winning relationships with clients and peers.• Excellent written and verbal communications skills to clearly communicate the complexities and components of any project to external suppliers and internal groups.• Degree in Graphic Design, Advertising or Marketing• Excellent design background with thorough technical knowledge of production requirements and delivery formats across all mediums including professional design, asset management, online publishing & productivity software & systems.• Excellent organization skills and sound knowledge of production planning, development and execution of integrated communication plans including media, point-of-sale and staff communication.• Ability to respond quickly to multiple projects and superb time management skills• Adept at developing the confidence, capabilities and performance of subordinates in the development, planning and implementation of marketing initiatives.• Sound knowledge of marketing disciplines and processes within the financial industry. Location(s):  Canada : Ontario : TorontoAs Canada’s International Bank, we are a leader when it comes to inclusion.
