Senior Manager, Marketing

This position (based in Toronto) develops and executes the national strategic marketing/communications plan for Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice.

Working with the leaders of the Risk Advisory practice, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring the execution of the firm’s go-to-market strategy across Canada. Reporting to the Director, Field Marketing, the senior marketing manager is self-motivated, energetic, driven for success and results oriented. You will recommend strategies for elevating Deloitte’s presence and strengthening the firm’s brand and various demand generation programs. Additionally, you will work closely with the local marketing representatives across the country as well as your global counterparts to ensure our plans are aligned and executed with a view to achieving the firm’s overall business growth objectives. Responsibilities:Serve as a trusted advisor and work with the Risk Advisory leadership team to plan and execute a full complement of marketing initiatives to drive growth and enhance market positioning, which may include: Create marketing plans and support strategy that align to Risk Advisory business plans and priorities. Ensure alignment of local go-to-market priorities with national strategy and priorities Design, plan and execute priority campaigns, utilizing an integrated approach Provide innovative approaches and deliver best practices Support and execute the initiatives outlined in the marketing plans, including major campaigns and activities to support lead generation and build eminenceManage major initiatives, which will include collaborating with the broader Marketing team in areas such as online, media and design Surface, design and execute events geared toward client education, relationship building and revenue growth including, but not limited to client roundtables, conferences and seminars Track, monitor, and evaluate integrated marketing activities and accomplishments Accountable for tracking and reporting ROI, including lead generation, on all major marketing activities/campaigns Collaborate/Coordinate with appropriate resources, including subject matter specialists, service area leaders, client service professionals, account developers, marketing and communications personnel and various shared services, to execute and/or leverage integrated marketing programs Contribute innovative marketing ideas and solutions that support long term growth Develop and maintain overall marketing budget and utilize sound marketing methods to ensure programs are implemented cost-effectively and implemented to achieve desired goals for building revenue, relationships and reputation (ROI development and tracking) Champion national initiatives including client feedback and CRM adoption Collaborate with regional leads in Finance, Administration, Talent and Operations to ensure marketing and communications strategies and tactics are supported appropriately. Liaise with counterparts from other Deloitte member firms, and with Global to identify areas of collaboration.Lead Risk Advisory marketing resources, including establishing priorities, coaching, performance management and day to day managementLead the extended regional marketing teams to provide direction on National campaigns that will need to be executed in local markets External Posting QualificationsMinimum eight years of marketing/communications experience, with a focus on strategy, planning and implementing integrated marketing communications campaign programs designed to build relationshipsExperience in a management role with direct reportsA minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or BusinessExperience in developing marketing and communications strategies that are aligned to business strategy and prioritiesExperience in business development supportAbility to keep the business focused on priorities and differentiate between the important and the less importantBudget planning and management experienceExperience with the following marketing communications tactics:Conference/Event/Tradeshow management (world class marketing eventsCollateral/content productionDirect mail/contact programsSponsorshipsMedia relationsOnline and SocialAbility to work with all levels of an organizationA commitment to flexible work hours and some travelAn understanding of market segmentation and customer relationship management/databases is requiredAbility to work and manage external suppliers is keyFamiliarity with demand generation, lead tracking, ROI is needed to be successfulIndustry background in financial advisory business is a definite assetStrong negotiation skillsSelf-starter, independent and proactiveDemonstrated project management skillsExcellent interpersonal and client service skills, with ability to develop contactsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written (French would be an asset)Get your career off to a great start.
