6823Branch / Department: Exposure and Capital Analysis Transit Number:  96222 Employee Referral Program – Potential Reward: $2,000.00  We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at Scotiabank. Purpose of Job:As part of Scotiabank Global Risk Management division, the Exposure and Capital Analysis (ECA) group is at the forefront of managing the Bank’s capital market risk exposure across all products and geographies.

This is a dynamic group as it must respond to changes in Bank initiatives as well as the market and regulatory environment. This senor manager role oversees a team responsible for monitoring limits, reporting, reconciling and maintaining both counterparty credit risk and obligor risk. This high profile position involves leading key strategic initiatives for the purpose of adhering to new regulations, improving process inefficiencies, centralizing risk monitoring, and implementing new technologies. Success in this role requires building relationships, influencing and collaborating with other departments such as GRM Credit, GBM, Trade Floor Risk Management, Finance, Compliance and Technology. Key Job Accountabilities:Oversee the setup and maintenance of counterparty data in Algo Credit, and obligor and security data in our Security Aggregation System (SAG).Liaise with Credit Officers, Banking and other departments to resolve complex limit monitoring issues, set new risk policies to align with the Bank’s risk appetite, and reduce operational inefficienciesLead and execute GRM’s strategic initiatives and showcase accomplishments to senior managementLead system design, testing and implementations for streamlining processes, product migrations, and adding new business lines for reporting and reconciliation purposesCoach and develop staff Functional Competencies:Knowledge of capital markets, counterparty credit risk and obligor riskKnowledge of financial instruments and derivativesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to craft and present strategic plans to senior managementAbility to build relationships to enlist support within the team and the Bank Educational Requirements:Masters degree in finance or a quantitative field (economics, mathematics, engineering)Completion of CFA/FRM an assetLocation(s):  Canada : Ontario : TorontoAs Canada’s International Bank, we are a leader when it comes to inclusion.
