Our client is one of Canada’s most exciting startups, focused on disrupting the traditional financial bond market. A first mover in the institutional debt capital markets – the largest capital market in the world – that is laser focused on transforming how global investment banks, institutional investors, corporations and governments connect. They have built a platform that makes new bond issuance digital and have also just closed a large round of funding that is to be used to scale their business.
Since their launch they have brought on board all the major Canadian banks, 200 clients (that include Bell, Enbridge, Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire) and have been globally recognized as one of the 3 firms that will transform the capital markets space.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented Director of Sales with a strong entrepreneurial spirit to grow new business.  This is a growth role with great long term potential. 
About the Role – Director of Sales:

  • This is an ideal role for a strong hunter who enjoys being in front of the customer, and closing deals!
  • The Director of Sales will evolve into a player coach role and then into a management role as the business grows
  • This is a highly consultative sale and requires the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Leads will be provided and the Director of Sales will be responsible for converting them into paying customers
  • Location: Downtown Toronto

About You:

  • 5+ years of software sales experience with a track record of exceeding sales revenue goals, ideally in a technical/software environment where you have been selling new software solutions
  • Must be an effective consultative solution seller who has experience working with the banks
  • Must be  service oriented with an innate desire to be successful, grow business and manage strategic relationships
  • Strong pipeline management skills are a necessity in this role
  • Have a good grasp of technology and enjoy staying ahead of the curve with new trends and developments within this space
  • Must be someone who is motivated by identifying new opportunities and the thrill of the sale!
  • Ability to work independently, be a team player, and looking to work really fast to help this company successfully hit their 5 year plan.
