Our Client is looking for an experienced BILINGUAL Dealer Development manager to work closely with their dealer principles and their staff to optimize their dealer’s business operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating demand for our Client’s products in the dealer channel by evaluating effectiveness of dealer network; developing and implementing strategies to optimize dealer strengths and facilitating dealer improvement.  Along with this the ideal candidate will be required to work with new and existing dealers to assist them in becoming better business partners through product offerings, training, marketing and superior service and warranty practices.

Other Responsibilities regarding the role are listed below:


  • Recommend and assist with the development of sales policies, programs, advertising and promotional ideals, forecasts, quotas, campaigns, etc.
  • Recommend and develop annual and quarterly sales promotion programs in accordance with our Client’s goals and objectives. Review and coordinate the administration of above programs with dealers.  Evaluate, approve and monitor all discretionary discounts within region.
  • Assist with research and development of sales and market based information that is necessary to prepare various reports which enable management to make educated, informed business decisions.
  • In conjunction with our Client’s co-op sponsored programs, direct and coordinate target marketing efforts through the promotion of our Client’s sponsored retail and aftermarket support programs.
  • Participate in conducting new product introductions, dealer/customer product information meetings, trade shows and special events.
  • Assist in training new staff on product and application based programs, specifically with focus on competitive positioning statements.
  • Recommend new product and feature additions based on field information/recommendations.
  • Assist with transportation of tractors/equipment within the territory e.g for photo shoots, events, etc. as necessary.


To be considered for this role you MUST possess the following: 

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and French fluently
  • In depth knowledge of product category, product sales and dealership operations in the agricultural machinery industry.
  • Knowledge of customer segment, product, and its applications. Experience to include extensive product and its attachment demonstrations in various applications.
  • Knowledge of new product development and product quality processes for the agricultural machinery industry.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills; ability to converse with dealers, vendors, employees, and all levels of management via phone and email. 
  • Excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to present material to small and large groups.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Be able to travel 80% of the time
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.

Position will be based in Toronto but willingness to travel all of Canada and with some USA visits is a MUST for this role!

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
