Job OverviewAs a Senior Analyst/Specialist, you will work within Enterprise Process Management & Capability Planning to focus on end-to-end process transformation and optimization that will drive a great client experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager or Director, you will be responsible for supporting projects that enable our business partners to realize efficiencies within operational processes, standardize activities, and improve levels of client/business partner satisfaction. You will play an integral role in supporting the development of an integrated view and plan for a common set of end-to-end processes, measurements, and controls that will be used in a repeatable and traceable manner.This role will also help define business and process requirements and manage deliverables against business partner expectations and time sensitive deadlines. Expectations include a hands-on teamwork approach to planning, solving problems, and assisting in people change management associated with all aspects of the process.What You’ll be Doing Perform process and data analysis to support decision-making and reporting and present information to various stakeholders.Work with process transformation teams to analyze, interpret, document and produce business insight that is related to the incumbent’s area of specialization, and ensure proposed recommendations are properly validated and communicated.Participate in all phases of projects providing contribution in problem solving efforts to improve client experience, improve cycle time and reduce cost.Conduct broad-based research of moderately complex business information to support process and data analysis activities.Utilize creative thinking to modify or select the most suitable approach that results in providing CIBC with optimum solutions to business issues/challenges.Work collaboratively within a cross-functional project team while providing support to Consultants and Senior Consultants leading the process initiative/work package.Support development of executive-ready presentations to summarize findings and recommendations in a concise manner.Work collaboratively with business partners leveraging their resources to gather information by participating in process observations, time studies, and process mapping activities.Participate in the documentation and development of the current state assessment identifying sources of information, detailed process descriptions, process stakeholders and pain points/opportunities for improvement.Participate in the documentation and development of the future state including roadmap design, conducting cost/benefit analysis, establishing performance metrics and identifying risks (and their mitigation) to support implementation of the new process.Achieve Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).Champion CIBC values and provide support in a manner consistent with the highest quality standards and CIBC objectives. Act as a Brand ambassador for Enterprise Process Management to help build and grow the practice, capability, and reputation of the team.What We’re Looking ForUniversity degree in Business or Engineering (preferably Industrial, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science). MBA or other Master Degree, or professional designation would be seen as an asset.2 -4 years in process improvement/transformation, consulting (internal or external), or process engineering, with preference being given to experience in the financial industry. Familiar with either Business Process Management, Six Sigma, or Lean concepts.Certification or eligibility for certification as a Green Belt (Lean/Six Sigma) would be considered a strong asset. Problem Solving skills: knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving organizational, operational or process problems. Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies and associated pro’s and con’s.Interpersonal Relationship skills: knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relations and partnerships with business partners, vendors, and peers.Decision-making and critical thinking skills: knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems. Ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions.Technical skills: proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project) and Minitab for documentation, modeling, and analysis purposes.
