Job Overview The Product Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Research & Management.The Product Analyst may have a dotted line to other Directors or Senior Managers within the Product Development team, depending on initiatives underway.The Incumbent will be a key member of the team supporting multiple product management functions across the Institutional, Mutual Fund and Managed Solutions product platform.Analyst may also work closely with our Product Regulatory teams on filings that support the offer.The Product Analyst will support the day-to-day management of the products, including marketing and sales support, competitor analysis, operational & technological activities, product enhancements, etc.What You’ll Be Doing 1.Product Support Provide day-to-day, ongoing support in the delivery of programs, products, industry related information, while ensuring that all activities are consistent with CIBC directives and those of other partner and internal areas.Work with internal partners to communicate product information through training and communication/marketing programsEnsure that all product initiatives meet audit, legal and compliance requirements Support in the development and implementation of new forms, policies and procedures, statement and operational enhancements Participate in the development of enhancements to existing products and/or new asset management products/services Assess competitive environment, client and IA needs, business requirements, pricing, distribution, revenue impacts, marketing positioningContributes to research and reporting on industry trends2.Product Analytics & Research Provide analytics that assist in the development and implementation of annual strategic and tactical business plans for the Product Development & Management team that address efficiency, profitability, cost management, planned enhancements, pricing, customer-service related issues.Maintain comprehensive competitive information on market penetration, product capabilities, trends and developments of competitors Provides analytics and support of our own products on a regulator basis that can be used to define positioning opportunities or enhancement opportunities Provide analytics to CIBC Asset Management Marketing and Sales teams to develop and support marketing, lead generation, sales campaigns and other initiatives, and assist in the development and launch of sales and prospecting tools CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPSThe role requires collaboration and interaction with multiple internal partner groups to achieve business objectives.Internal Groups will typically include, but may not necessarily be limited to Technology, Operations, Sales, Legal, Taxation and Marketing.What We’re Looking For:Knowledge of investment and mutual fund productsHighly motivated individual with strong multi-tasking and time management skillsSuccessful completion of the Canadian Securities Course preferred Strong analytical skills – CFA candidate preferred Other industry accreditations an asset (e.g.CFA, CFP, IFIC)Flexible, results oriented, organized, and used to working under time constraints1-3 years of Product management and/or research experienceKnowledge of current financial markets and an understanding of the forces that influence them Good verbal and written communications skillsProficient/strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPointWhat CIBC Can Offer YouFlexible health benefits, stock purchase plan, competitive incentive pay and recognition programsCompetitive salary and banking benefits Career growth, development and continuous learning opportunitiesOpportunity to be involved in CIBC events that help our communitiesClick to learn more about Rewards & Recognition, Learning & Development, and Employee Community InvolvementWhat You Need To KnowMust be legally eligible to work in Canada at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit or study permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the rolePlease click here to Apply On-Line.
