This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted August 3, 2017.

Our client, a leader in health care products located in Don Mills is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst for a 5 month contract. Potential to go longer.

The Credit and Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for protecting the company’s investment in AR through adherence to process and policy. This position operates within a team environment and is responsible for administering all aspects of credit and accounts receivable reconciliation activities for a diverse customer base.

Major Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze customer sales and payment data to proactively collect aged receivables
• Initiate follow up action on all deductions to the appropriate stakeholders: customers, sales, finance, customer service, customer logistics
• Negotiates customer disputes to enable resolution and documents root cause.
• Responsible for the achievement of AR related metrics for portfolio of accounts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive dialogue to understand their systems and process requirements, field visits and taking opportunities to exceed expectations. Acts as the VOC.
• Respond to internal and/or external customer inquiries
• Build and maintain a productive customer & Sales Rep relationship while ensuring an efficient process that reduces errors and meets cycle time requirements.
• Ensure that statements are distributed to customers in a timely fashion
• Build strong relationships and work effectively with business, key internal/external customers and Sales to maximize process effectiveness.
• Participate in quarterly review of Bad Debts and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts Reserve
• As part of the AR team, assist in order management by review and approve of orders pending release according to current SOP and policies.
• Work with internal partners and customers to enable resolution and release of the order.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end reporting
• Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end requirements are met
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the functional area
• Effectively manage change as a result of process improvements
• Work with cross-functional teams on processes improvement focused projects
• Responsible for maintaining process compliance within accounts receivable

Job Knowledge Requirements:

1. Relevant knowledge and experience

• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Good interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills with broader business strategy
• Strong customer focus
• Strong detail and process orientation
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Results and performance driven with & sense of urgency on priorities.
• Must be bilingual (French / English)
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in credit/AR/finance

2. Technical competency requirements:

• University degree in Finance or Business related major
• Advanced computer skills, knowledge of, JDE, MS Office software, Cognos
