Operations – Toronto, ON There are two full-time permanent positions available in our Toronto Head Office. Purpose of the role
The Insights and Analytics team is seeking an individual who has keen interest in the development of operational reports, detailed trend analysis, and communication of key business performance drivers / metrics for the Operations functional units. You will be accountable for implementing technical solutions using tools including Data Visualization, Operational Databases, and at times spreadsheets to enhance our Customers Experience, streamline processes and deliver performance management solutions. For optimum success in this role, building collaborative relationships, taking initiative, and creating the new and different, will be important. You will be accountable for

  • Providing statistical and / or financial related analysis through the design and maintenance of database / spreadsheet and Tableau reporting on revenue, reversals, waived fees, losses and expense items
  • Continuously tracking and providing regular reporting related to key business performance metrics / indicators including metrics surrounding service level agreements, volume, productivity, quality, customer intelligence, and employee performance 
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of business trends and related statistics / metrics providing interpretation of findings and effectively communicating / presenting these findings to Managers, Directors and Executives to assist in departmental and corporate growth and performance
  • Gathering business requirements for new initiatives to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness. This includes liaising with the business unit to understand the purpose, develop / maintain knowledge of the business and translate the business requirements into an effective reporting solution by leveraging available technology (i.e., MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Tableau)
  • Supporting organizational initiatives by providing short / long term reporting and trend analysis surrounding process changes, including ensuring that reporting solutions are up to date and accurate throughout systemic changes

 Your experience includes

  • University Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Professional Designation would be an asset (CPA)
  • 3-5 Reporting and Analytics Experience required, co-op experience included
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access), Tableau or any other data visualization software tool
  • Proficiency in SQL is mandatory
  • English, Bilingual considered an asset
  • Proven strong analytical, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, strong level of experience in the technical aspects related to MS Excel / MS Access / SQL
  • Knowledge of building reports in Tableau providing insights and analytics from reporting is considered an asset
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proven ability to present complex findings in a clear & concise manner
  • Proactive and motivated, a desire to initiative own work
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong team player
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and anticipate obstacles / think about next steps
