Project Manager (6months contract)

The Project Manager will manage multiple initiatives from B2B Bank¿s project portfolio. To be successful in the role, the individual will have a working knowledge of and experience in the financial services industry, possess solid project leadership skills, and be well-versed in all facets of project management..Define the project scope and managing it to a successful conclusion Create and maintain a plan for each project and ensure that they are managed according to corporate standards Take accountability for tracking the project¿s progress, achieving its objectives, and managing scope, schedule and budget within the approved plan Ensure that issues are resolved effectively and efficiently, either by the project team or through escalation to the sponsor or program manager Accountable to the project sponsor for the delivery and to the B2B Bank Project Management Office for governance and adherence to policies and processes Manage change during the project life cycle, fully documents the change requests and effectively communicates and negotiates deliverables with key stakeholders Responsible for risk management during the project life cycle, ensures that risks are identified, tracked and communicated; accountable for the development of mitigation and contingency plansUniversity Degree in a related field, with 2 to 4 years of related experience; or College Diploma and 5 to 8 years of related experience, combined with over 2 years of proven project management experience in delivery of business and IT projects within the financial services sector Strong knowledge of PDLC methodologies, such as waterfall, iterative or agile practices with a proven track record of successful project delivery Good knowledge of banking, lending and investment products including deposit services, transactional accounts, mortgages, loans and investment funds Experience delivering software development projects with strong knowledge of SDLC best practices Project leadership abilities and tactical experience executing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously Strong listening, interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills are required for the role Strong organizational and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to think broadly and strategically without losing sight of the details Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to prioritize, successfully manage tasks within the constraints of multiple projects, and maintain confidentiality PMP certification would be an asset Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in core competencies including teamwork, adaptability, planning, presentation, negotiation, problem solving and decision making Bilingualism (English and French) skills would be an assetNOTE: This is a contract role for approximately 6 months to support a key business initiative.
