Manager, Administration (Municipal Tax)

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Administration; the Manager, Administration is responsible for a variety of functions in an effort to support various business lines. While working closely with Senior Manager of Administration, the manager will be accountable for employee engagement, distribution of work, closely monitoring all tasks and resources to ensure that service standards and productivity levels are met/ exceeded for each business line. Responding to inquiries raised by internal and external customers. Comply with compliance with regulatory, legislative and industry standards.-Assists in establishing strategic direction/goals for the Municipal Tax department. -Responsible for salary administration, performance assessment and coaching, selection, training, and career development of reporting employees. -Monitors the reconciliation of tax bills and ensures the team is able to meet all due dates in a timely manner. -Establishes and maintains relationships with numerous municipal tax offices. -Handle escalated calls and e-mails from clients and internal business partners. -Ensure all municipalities are provided with updated clients lists as required. -Plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages work and resources within assigned areas of responsibility to meet division, department, and organization goals -Manages staffing and controllable expenses to appropriate levels in correlation to the budget, business plan, and existing and anticipated business environment -Makes decisions while considering the impacting customer¿s experience and the financial performance of B2B Bank -Develops and maintains positive relationships with business partners and customers internal and external to B2B Bank. -Ensures compliance with departmental and company policies, procedures, and practices i.e. All regulatory requirements are met; including AML, FATCA, Third-Party Determination, Risk scorecard -Support Projects and Initiatives as required -Ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and are free of errors or deficiencies, all required record keeping documentation has all been received in good orderDemonstrated ability in core and role specific competencies including: Adaptability, Teamwork, People Management, Problem Solving, Judgment, Decision Making and Results Orientation. Post-secondary degree or diploma in a business or related discipline, and 5 ¿ 8 years of related administration experience 3 to 5 years of demonstrated people management or other related experience is required for the role. Good understanding of the financial services industry, its independent distribution channels, and the regulatory environment. Strong Customer Service orientation, Ensure customer satisfaction; must be well versed in product knowledge and features as well as policies and procedures Able to perform well in a high volume, high-intensity environments Advanced Product knowledge of Mortgages and Municipal Taxes Administration processes Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with confidence Strong organizational and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to think broadly and strategically without losing sight of the details Demonstrated planning, organizational, communication, presentation, and coaching skills Customer service oriented with the ability to set service standards and expectations for the team. Ability to deal with multiple priorities or demands under pressure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook is required) Understanding of Filogix, MOS, and Work Desk is a definite asset.
