Job Description

Our Toronto-based client, an auto financing company is in need of a Funding Officer to be responsible for the complete and accurate collection of pre-funding documentation. The successful candidate should demonstrate previous experience with a lending institution, exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
• Liaise with dealer partners to request various documents and paperwork to support funding requirements (driver’s license, contracts, special requests, etc.)
• Receive and review supporting documentation from borrowers (drivers license, employment letters, insurance coverage, etc.)
• Connect with the clients in order to accurately identify and verify the borrower’s identity
• Investigate any outstanding items
• Ensure all documentation is complete, correct, compliant and authentic
• Data entry to log systems and databases with up-to-date information on client portfolios
• Book loans into systems and processing the fund

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in loans administration in lending institution, ideally sub-prime/prime auto loans, mortgages or personal loans
• University/College degree preferred
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), loan origination software an asset
• High attention to detail
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Compensation:
• Salary: $40 – 50K commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
