The Credit Manager, Investment Lending is responsible for the day to day management of the RSP and Investment Loan underwriting operations. In addition, the Manager will ensure a high quality credit portfolio through regular review of applications to ensure compliance with the Bank¿s credit standards.Supervises the daily operations of RSP and investment lending underwriting team. Analyzes and approves credit applications for RSP and investment loans and unsecured lines of credit, outside the authorized limits of employees under their responsibility. Submits recommendations to the higher authorization level regarding credit applications for RSP and investment loans and unsecured lines of credit, which exceed their authorized limit. Develops and maintains communications with internal and external stakeholders, such as Investment Lending Administration team, Dealer Services, Client Services, Business Development and investment advisors, which are involved in the section’s activities. May be called upon to contribute to the preparation, administration and control of budgets. Plans, organizes and oversees activities under their responsibility by including critical elements of quality control, productivity and stability follow-up, as well as security and integrity of all operations of their section. Carries out various complex analyses and important controls required to make credit decisions. Ensures the identification and follow-up of irregular files and, if required, refers them to the recovery group or other authorities, such as the legal or compliance departments. Ensures adherence to standards set by the Bank regarding the presentation and content of credit approvals. Participates in the implementation of systems and procedures by making sure that all approved loan products comply with general policies. Participates actively in the achievement of various projects and mandates that may have a significant impact on B2B Bank¿s profitability and efficiency. Manages the employees under their responsibility in accordance with the legislation in effect and with B2B Bank¿s policies, programs, procedures. Evaluates employees¿ performance, ensures the development of their potential through coaching and training, and is responsible for decisions regarding recruiting or dismissal. Maintains knowledge of current legislation and the Bank’s policies, programs and procedures and remains aware of market trends. Carries out any other similar or general task at the request of their superior or that may be required by their function.University Degree in a related field, combined with 4 to 6 years of RSP and investment loan underwriting and credit decision making experience. or College Diploma in a related field, combined with 7 to 10 years of RSP and investment loan underwriting and credit decision making experience. 3 to 5 years of demonstrated leadership, people management and coaching experience is required for the role. Understanding of the financial services industry, its independent distribution channels, and the regulatory environment. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of credit and collections practices. Strong operations management experience in financial services. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Customer service orientation with the ability to set service standards and expectations for the team. A relationship-oriented team player that is comfortable working with, and gaining commitment across, different functional areas at different management levels both within and outside the organization. Must be able to analyze and solve problems and identify solutions or cost effective improvements. Solid interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and decision making skills. Organizational change management experience. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and demands professionally. Solid ability to use Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn inquiry functions in back office processing systems. Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are assets.Please note this contract is up to 12 months.
