Accounts Receivable Analyst (Contract)

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted August 10, 2017.

Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Credit Global with strategic credit initiatives, maintaining wholesale customer credit risk at acceptable levels and ensure all internal AR postings and accounting is recorded and reconciled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and reconcile assigned portfolio of internal and e-commerce accounts  This includes collections, cash application and reconciliation
  • Monitor and release orders from credit hold according to corporate credit policy and prepare risk analysis for management approval
  • Create and forward pro-forma invoices for prepay customers
  • Support customer risk management by working with credit insurance and rating companies
  • Prepare periodic aging and AR metric analysis reports
  • Provide financial statement analysis/recommendations for credit limits
  • Prepare sales returns and allowances worksheets for review and sign off
  • Prepare credit limit deficiency report
  • Prepare ECL worksheet for review and sign off
  • Support 3rd party collection agency assignments
  • Month/Quarter/Year end inter-company adjustments, write-offs and reporting schedules
  • Perform other related credit duties as required including; special projects, ad hoc reporting, back up tasks and AR accounting

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • 3+ years’ Credit, Accounts Receivable and Collections experience
  • 2+ years’ experience working in an accounting department
  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Working towards accounting designation

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong internal and external communication skills required
  • Proficiency in accounting and, the ability to offer assistance on accounting functions
  • Financials statement analysis
  • Ability to stay focus on tasks, particularly with competing priorities while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to offer proficient solution to problems
  • Ability to make good presentations, analyze report, and respond to accounting issues
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
